Hepburn & Company was formed in March 1980 and on April 4th 1980 held its formal opening ceremonies at the new offices in Star Plaza, Nassau Bahamas. The firm started with three employees and approximately twelve local clients. In , the firm opened its second office in Freeport, Grand Bahama in the Kipling Building with a staff of two persons. The philosophy of the firm at the time and still so today is to provide a wide range of Accounting, Auditing and Bookkeeping Services.

In July 1984, the firm expanded its offices with newer larger offices in Sears House on Shirley Street. The opening was attended by the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, who congratulated the Partners and staff of the firm as the fastest growing accounting firm in the Bahamas. The firm had a staff of twelve persons in two offices – eight in Nassau and four in Freeport.

In 1986, Mr. Leo Hepburn joined the firm from Price Waterhouse and in 1988 became the Partner in charge of the Freeport office. Also in 1986, the firm purchased a four thousand square foot building and remodeled it to become Hepburn House where the offices are today. In 1995, the firm celebrated its fifteenth anniversary, at that time a total of eighteen persons are employed by the group.

This year on March 1st 2023, the firm celebrated its 43rd year anniversary with a small and select group of clients. The clients of the firm range from small to large businesses and cover a cross section of The Bahamas economy.
